What is the goal of the Ohio Transformation Fund?
The leading goal of the OTF is to support the criminal justice ecosystem in Ohio to transform the state of Ohio into a national leader in collateral sanctions reform.

- Advancing Collateral Sanctions policy work in the ecosystem and other key legislation such as Bail Reform and eliminating the Death Penalty.
- Supporting the Ohio criminal justice ecosystem through facilitating collaboration and grantmaking.
- Supporting narrative storytelling & communications on the Ohio criminal justice ecosystem.
- Supporting the local/national criminal justice funder ecosystem in Ohio.
How can my foundation get involved?
The OTF welcomes funding partners who invest directly in the Fund and fellow travelers to invest, learn and work together. Partners who invest in the Fund comprise the Advisory Board the OTF are responsible for the strategic vision of the OTF and grantmaking decisions in partnership with the Executive Director. In order to be true to the values of the OTF, the Advisory Board identifies meaningful ways to engage people directly impacted by the focus issues of the OTF within the fund and in all OTF activities. What does success look like?
- A high-functioning Collateral Sanction Coalition exists in Ohio.
- Ohio Passes legislation in the 135th General Assembly with as many Collateral Sanctions eliminations as politically possible.
- OTF financially supports organizations in the criminal justice ecosystem, totaling $2m+ by October 2024.
